Sousse is one of Tunisia’s most popular resorts, and its 10-kilometre-long stretch of golden sand is a huge draw. It’s blanketed in thatched umbrellas and has a great selection of water sports to choose from. Behind the shore, luxury hotels line up, shrouded by palm trees. 

Marhaba Club is a mega-sized Moorish-style resort on the silky sands of Sousse Beach. It’s nestled among palms and blooms and feels nicely tucked away, but you’re just a 10-minute drive from the lively resort centre when you want to get out and explore the shops, bars and timewarp medina. Port El Kantaoui, a pretty harbourfront town, is the same distance in the other direction.

You’ll find the hotel’s star turn – a lagoon-like swimming pool – just footsteps from the beach and surrounded by landscaped grounds.
